CORONADO, Calif. (AP) — A California military base was put in lockdown after a vehicle went through the facility's main gate without stopping, a military spokesperson said.Naval Base Coronado spokesperson Kevin Dixon told KNSD-TV that the driver was taken into custody by base guards after the “gate runner” drove without stopping Friday night through the entrance of Naval Air Station North Island, part of Naval Base Coronado. Several patrol cars surrounded the entrance near 3rd Street and Alameda Boulevard in Coronado around 10:30 p.m., KNSD-TV reported.Multiple gates at the air station near San Diego were closed while security personnel checked the facility, Dixon said.A post on the Facebook page of Naval Base Coronado early Saturday said, “The main gate at Naval Air Station North Island is currently closed due to a security incident. One man has been arrested and three men are wanted after a stabbing in the Sherbourne and Queen East area that left one man dead.Police responded to reports on Mar. 6 at approximately 12:53 a.m. after an altercation took place between a man and a group of four men.The altercation allegedly escalated resulting in the victim getting stabbed, who was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries and was pronounced dead shortly after. COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — A predawn shooting at a Columbus night club left two people dead and four wounded, Ohio authorities said.Officers responded shortly after 5 a.m. Saturday to an after-hours club called Tha Plug on the city’s south side, emergency dispatchers said. One person died at the scene and another was dropped off at Nationwide Children’s Hospital and was later pronounced dead, dispatchers said.Two other victims were taken to OhioHealth Grant Medical Center and two more to the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, authorities said. AUSTIN (KXAN) — After rainy weather canceled Billboard's concert at South by Southwest on Thursday, the music company announced ticket buyers would be refunded. The March 16 concert was supposed to be the first night of Billboard's The State at SXSW series, which continued Friday night and will end Saturday. The events are held outdoors at the Moody Amphitheater.
