Green Foothills was proud to lead the Protect Coyote Valley coalition, which successfully campaigned for all of Coyote Valley to be zoned for open space and agriculture in 2021. POST’s purchase helps create a permanently connected corridor of open space where wildlife can cross the valley safely.Sadly, a few Coyote Valley landowners are still trying to pave over their land rather than steward it responsibly. A few are suing the city of San Jose to try to get their land rezoned for development and seeking permits to build an energy facility there. This is unfortunate. Coyote Valley’s rural landscape protects our groundwater and buffers against flooding, allows local ...Suspects detained after shooting at Pleasanton Home Depot

It was a tie game in Orlando on Nov. 5. De’Aaron Fox got the ball with about five seconds left, took four dribbles and let a shot fly from just inside of midcourt as time expired. Swish, for the win. A clutch moment — one of many for the Sacramento guard this season. Fox was announced Tuesday night as the inaugural winner of the NBA’s clutch player of the year award, as selected by a panel of 100 writers and broadcasters who cover the league.Miami’s Jimmy Butler was second, and Chicago’s DeMar DeRozan was third.“You can’t be afraid to fail,” Fox said on the TNT broadcast of the announcement. “Obviously, you’re not going to make every shot, but my teammates, my coaches, they put me in position to succeed. So the least I can do is have confidence in myself to take good shots.”Fox became Sacramento’s first individual winner of a major award since Tyreke Evans held off Stephen Curry for rookie of the year in 2010. SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — Klay Thompson pondered the Golden State Warriors’ current playoff situation and expressed some relief. In years past under the old best-of-five format, the defending champions would have been on the brink of elimination trailing 2-0. Thompson, Stephen Curry and Draymond Green have never been in the hole like this, down by two games — and this is a group that has practically seen it all over the past decade while capturing the franchise’s first championship in 40 years with the 2014-15 title and three more since, reaching the NBA Finals in five straight seasons from 2015-19 along the way.But the upstart Sacramento Kings, coached by former top Warriors assistant Mike Brown, who helped Golden State accomplish so much, are coming to Chase Center on Thursday night for Game 3 of the best-of-seven first-round series with some serious momentum.“Luckily, it’s first to four. It’s not the old format where it’s first to three,” Thompson said, “...Rays lefty Springs put on IL, meets with Tommy John surgeon
