CHICAGO — A man is dead after being struck by a CTA train on the blue line in the Near West Side stop early Sunday morning. According to police, the man was hit by the incoming train near the 400 block of South Damen Avenue around 4:00 a.m. He was severed at the mid-body and was pronounced dead on the scene. According to police, an unidentified 60-year-old man was found with gunshot wounds inside his home and was pronounced dead at the scene. A young mother is dead and two other people were hospitalized after a suspected DUI driver smashed into parked cars in Pacific Palisades early Saturday morning, sending vehicles flying into pedestrians on the beach.The victim killed was a 33-year-old mother of two, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
