Jackknifed tractor trailer blocks Dorchester Ave. near I-93 A jackknifed tractor trailer blocked part of Dorchester Avenue in Boston Thursday night, drawing an emergency response to the scene. The crash happened on the overpass carrying Dorchester Avenue over the southbound side I-93. In an initial post on X near 9 p.m., the state Department of Transportation asked drivers to seek alternate routes around the area. Crews remained on scene, with the road still closed near 11 p.m. The truck appeared to be stuck between the curbs of the overpass and crews could be seen working to free it. One worker on scene told reporters the driver involved is from Canada, got lost and tried to turn around before getting stuck. Missing 15-year-old girl found strangled to death in South Shore apartment CHICAGO — A 15-year-old girl, who was reported missing twice in the last five months, was found strangled to death inside a residence in South Shore.According to the Chicago Police Department, an unresponsive female of unknown age was found inside a residence in the 7200 block of South Phillips Avenue around 6:09 p.m. Tuesday and was pronounced dead on scene.The Cook County Medical Examiner's Office has confirmed the female is Amarise Parker and her cause of death was homicide via strangulation.According to police, authorities first released a missing person's alert for Parker on Aug. 31 stating she went missing from the 10900 block of South Wood Street in the Morgan Park neighborhood.
