SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The annual Mitten Tree Program at the Saratoga Springs Heritage Area Visitor Center is seeking donations of winter wear for those in need. GALWAY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- There will be a 60-minute Narcan training presentation and distribution event at the Galway Public Library on Thursday, November 30. While the event is free to the public, those interested in attending are required to register by calling the Galway Public Library at (518) 882-6385. The training runs from 6 to 7 p.m. and teaches participants about opioids and reviews data on how the epidemic is impacting Saratoga County. ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- A Schenectady man was sentenced to 25 years in prison for attempting to entice a minor as a registered sex offender. According to the Department of Justice (DOJ), Peters admitted between October 2 and October 7, 2020, he initiated and sent sexually explicit texts to someone who he believed was 14. After learning the minor was 14, he asked them for nudes and "live pictures," as well as asking them to meet on multiple occasions to engage in various sexual acts. On October 7, 2020, Peters went to a prearranged meeting location near Albany where he was met by law enforcement and was arrested. Peters is a registered sex offender and has three prior sex convictions, two in 2000 and one in 2012, each involving a child he met online. LOUIS - The U.S. Food and Drug Administration recently issued a warning to a St. Louis company after an inspection revealed there were unsanitary conditions, including mold, at its noodle manufacturing plant. The FDA says it inspected the Wan-Gee Foods, Inc. plant in the 10000 block of Midwest Industrial Boulevard earlier this year between May 2-24. An FDA warning letter was released nearly half a year later, on Nov. 9. According to the letter, FDA investigators acknowledged "serious violations" of federal standards for manufacturing and regulating food. LOUIS - Family members and local authorities are still searching for answers nearly four decades after Nancy Brannon disappeared from the St. Louis area.Nancy Leah Brannon was reported missing on Nov. 25, 1986 at the age of 34. Investigators say she was last seen near Grand Boulevard and Delor Street in south St. Louis. Brannon's car and purse were found at her apartment in Shrewsbury, Missouri, the next day. 29-Year-Old Passenger Dies in Car Accident Near Sun Gold StreetINDIO, CA (November 28, 2023) – Early Saturday morning, Jeremy Decorah was declared dead following a two-vehicle crash on Indio Boulevard.The crash happened around 5:00 a.m. in the area of Indio Boulevard and Sun Gold Street.At this time, the cause of the collision remains unclear.
