AUSTIN (KXAN) — Texas Longhorns head coach Steve Sarkisian said Monday that quarterback Quinn Ewers is "week-to-week" with a shoulder injury.Ewers was hit hard by Houston's David Ugwoegbu near the end of the third quarter after a scramble. Ewers tried to play through the injury and threw two incomplete passes before the end of the frame. Maalik Murphy entered the game and played the entire fourth quarter, completing 1 of 2 passes for seven yards. FISHKILL, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- On Sunday, New York State Police arrested a suspect in connection to the fatal motor vehicle crash that occurred on October 21. Aida Y. Miranda, 62, of Fishkill, was charged with leaving the scene of a fatal motor vehicle crash. Get the latest news, weather, sports and entertainment delivered right to your inbox! Police determined that Miranda struck a victim on Merritt Boulevard and left without reporting the incident. Troopers responded to the scene and began life-saving techniques with an off-duty emergency medical technician.The victim, Balvinder Parihar, 72, of Fishkill, was transported to the St. Luke's Cornwall Hospital. She was later pronounced deceased.Miranda was arraigned in the Town of Fishkill Court and remanded to the Dutchess County Jail. ST. CHARLES COUNTY, Mo. -- DNA from a discarded tea bottle identified a St. Charles County burglary suspect. Jacobie Thompson is now under arrest and faces several charges connected to a home break-in. A woman returned to her home in St. Charles County on September 16th and realized that someone had stolen several pieces of her jewelry. The missing items included a pair of diamond earrings worth $2,000, a $500 class ring, a Kate Spade wristlet worth $50, and $500 in cash.Police were called to investigate the incident. They found the Kate Spade wristlet in the backyard, along with their small home security camera and an opened Gold Peak tea bottle. A critical incident response team is investigating an officer-involved shooting in Mesa County.Just after 9:30 p.m. on Friday, Mesa County sheriff deputies responded to the 500 block of 31 ½ Road to contact a wanted male suspect.According to a Saturday news release from the sheriff’s department, once deputies made contact with the suspect, 56-year-old Ray Cox, he responded with force and the deputies on the scene shot him.Paramedics transported Cox to the hospital where he was later discharged and booked into the Mesa County Detention Facility on charges of assaulting a peace officer and criminal mischief.The deputies involved have been placed on paid administrative leave, the standard protocol for officer-involved shootings, while the investigation takes place, Monday’s news release stated.According to the release, the findings will be turned over to the 21st Judicial District Attorney’s Office for review.The Mesa County Sheriff’s Office will be responsible for releasin...PHOTOS: Pizzeria Lui in Lakewood, Colorado.
